Scholarship Fund for Nellie
Donation protected
Nellie Bayizere was a student in Tim Volek's first year teaching at Place Bridge Academy in Denver Public Schools. She was an inquisitive, hard working, dedicated student and did very well in his class. She is the first in her family to graduate from high school.
Nellie spent the first ten years of her life in a refugee camp in Tanzania Africa. She lost her father and uncles in an ongoing war in her country. She came to the United States in the fourth grade and became a student in Tim Volek’s class.
Recently Nellie received a scholarship to go to the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. She has moved into the dorm and starts her classes tomorrow morning. Unfortunately, due to a mistake at the disbursement office her scholarship money will not be coming through for this semester. She has to give the school $2000 by September 4th. If she doesn't she will be forced to move out of the dorm and miss this semester.
We all know Nellie will do something incredible with her studies and career. Nellie wants to be able to help and support her mother and other family members by becoming a doctor someday. She is very worthy of this assistance.
