Schoeffler Family Loss

My beautiful sister and neice have had a recent tragedy. Their husband/father was in a terrible accident last week. If you know her, you know the relationship was complicated, but while she was separated from Kevin, he was involved in Sami’s life.

As they were still married, the burden fell to Jen to make some difficult decisions about his end of life care. The last I heard, I believe nine people will be blessed by her decision to donate his organs.

As I am sure you can imagine, organ donation process is not swift moving, and Jen has been at his side since last Thursday as testing was done and recipients were located. She has missed out on work, right when hair stylists were finally able to return to work in CA after a long time off due to COVID. This has put a financial strain on her as a single mom, and of course there will also be costs incurred with laying him to rest once he has his honor walk and the machines are turned off.

If you know Jen, you know she is not one to ask for help. She is brave and strong, and is facing this difficult situation with dignity and grace. She doesn’t want to inconvenience anyone, and this is the only way I can think to help. If you feel moved to share or donate, please know that it will be Incredibly appreciated.
