Elaine’s Surgery

My mum ( Elaine, 37) became unwell in 2012 with blood clots in her main vein that carries blood from her heart to her legs after the birth of my younger sister, she was in hospital for 3 weeks+ and had to get physio to help her walk again, she continued on treatment for over 7 months, she then suffered a heart attack in September 2019 due to a small piece of the clot breaking off and blocking her left artery in her heart which required surgery to put stents into her heart, she still to this day struggles with walking due to the clots in her legs, her legs become discoloured and sore if she walks for any longer than 10-15 minutes they also become swollen and the pain can some times last for days, she has now been given the chance to go down to London for a life altering surgery that could possibly help her regain the ability to walk properly again and be able to live a more unrestricted life style, this surgery is only a available to be done in London as the surgical team that is doing the procedure is down there and the specialist machines they need are also down there, the procedure is being funded by the NHS but she has to fund her travel from Scotland to London and her accommodation, her first trip down to do tests cost her around £500 due to fuel and accommodation and other expenses, she has been advised by the doctors that she will have to do a lot of travelling from Scotland to London for the better part of a year to do check ups and such things, so I set this GoFundMe up as a way to try help my mum with her expenses as she does nothing but helps me and my siblings before her self so if you can help me help my mum I would be so greatful
