URGENT PLEA WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!Shreveport Bossier Animal Rescue is now closed to new intakes and is on the brink of closing. We are saddened by this because we are one of only a few rescues that pull cats from our local animal control shelters. We barely have enough funds to stay afloat and do not have the funds to continue our mission of saving lives. Cats/kittens have a very high euthanasia rate at open intake shelters and we work hard to pull as many as possible, but it requires funds we do not have at this time.Pulling one single cat will cost us an average of $250. Total intakes for 2016 were 306 with 254 adoptions. We appreciate the supporters who shared our previous plea, offered to help fundraise, and offered to help foster and volunteer (we really need those!), but we must have monetary donations to move forward. It takes a village, and we NEED the support of our community to continue. You don't have to donate a lot, but if each person reached could donate $1-$5, we would be able to move forward. Thank you for your continued support. Please share and help us keep our doors open to the cats that need us most.
