Saxon's cancer is back, help their growing family

Saxon's latest scan wasn't good, ya'll. They had an MRI the last week of October, and we found out on November 4th that Saxon has at least five new tumors forming around the resection site of their last tumor, with one further in towards the mobility center of the brain. This news is hitting us especially hard this time, as Saxon's last craniotomy surgery was only in July of 2020, and their wife Makayla is five months pregnant with their first kiddo, a little boy.
Saxon's surgery team mentioned the option of a probe/laser surgery, but in the same breath told us that it wouldn't be as worthwhile as a full craniotomy like last year, due to the shape of the new tumors and how they are placed in the brain. Saxon is waiting on a specialized scan called a DTI, a type of MRI that will show Dr. Lee and Dr. Nakashi the tumor growth in more detail, so they can make a plan for surgery. Once Saxon's received the DTI, the next time they see their surgeons will be to schedule the craniotomy.
We are seeking mutual aid to offset Saxon's recovery time, which should be at least three months if things go like last time. Saxon does deliveries through Instacart to supplement the couples disability payments, and won't be able to drive per neurologists instructions for three months post surgery. They are also preparing for baby Frankie's arrival in March, and will post a link to their baby registries if folks are so inclined to help that way.
We could not have made it though last year's surgery and recovery without the help of our community of friends and family, and we so appreciate you all coming together for us again.
