When rhythm and melody collide, magic happens, and it was by chance that these two musical dynamos should meet. In the summer of 2017 while working in Whitefish, Montana with Alpine Theatre Project, Erica von Kleist and DeWitt Fleming Jr. began their incredible, innovative collaboration. A pairing of Erica's legendary saxophone and woodwind chops and DeWitt's virtuosic tap dancing, the two will release their first album together in 2020.
"Sax & Taps: Intersplosion! Live at Dizzy's" recorded in New York in May 2018 is set to be released in March. Featuring Mark Meadows (piano), Carroll Dashiell III (drums) and Endea Owens (bass), the album showcases all original music by Erica and DeWitt.
You can help be a part of this incredible project! Erica and DeWitt are looking for financial support to help defray the cost of the album's production and release. Every dollar will help support every aspect of the album-release process, from production to PR and marketing. We do what we do because we love it, and our highest joy is bringing it to the world.
Our music is fun and original. Check out one of our videos and you'll see...
