Saving Spinner

Spinner is a beautiful 4-year-old Redbone Coonhound who was recently rescued from a neglectful situation by the Green Bay Animal Rescue, a certified 501(c)3 non-profit rescue group. She had been chained up outside her entire life and was kept extremely malnourished, which unfortunately led to her losing an entire litter of puppies.

After being rescued, Spinner recieved care at the Parkside Animal Care Center in Green Bay, WI where they diagnosed her with bilateral cataracts. This is a condition where the lenses in both eyes cloud over due to a protein build-up, which causes a drastic decrease in vision and eventually permanant blindness.

Considered very rare for such a young dog, Spinner's bilateral cataracts has progressed to the point where she will lose her eyesight completely within a matter of months if she does not recieve the proper corrective surgury.

Unwilling to give up on her, the Green Bay Animal Rescue and the NWTC student organization Alpha Dogs have organized this fundraiser as a means of paying for part of the operation, which we hope will be done at the University of Wisconsin Veterinary Hospital this March.

Our hope is to successfully raise the funds necessary to pay for Spinner's surgury so we can fix her eyesight for good. After she has fully recovered, we hope to place Spinner in a loving home where she can live a long, full life as part of a great family. 

Spinner is a very affectionate dog with a great personality and plenty of love to give. It didn't take her long to win over our hearts and it won't take long for her to win your heart over as well.
