Help us save Nala!

Hi everyone, unfortunately, I had to open a Gofundme page. My sweet girl, Nala, was diagnosed with IMHA after a day of not eating and then a few hours into the next day she was very lethargic and couldn’t walk. I checked her gums and they were white so I threw her over my shoulder immediately and rushed her to the ER where we ended up with this horrible diagnosis.

Her RBC was 13 when she arrived on Friday and then was given a blood transfusion within 3 hours. Her heart rate was very high as well (around 180). Her RBC went up to 22 after the transfusion and then down to 20 on Saturday AM. Saturday PM it was 18, Sunday AM it was 18 (which we thought was great) but then Sunday PM it was 16.

Once they called this morning they let us know that her RBC was back down to 12. She received another blood transfusion and we are pending a call from them to inform us what it is at tonight.

This all stemmed from a tick-borne disease called Anaplasmosis and Lyme.

I did not realize how bad of a disease this was until I did my research when we got home. I’m so scared. She is only 4 and doesn’t deserve this.
