Saving Woody Harrelson

On Sunday morning Woody (Mr. H) wasn’t eating and was having a hard time jumping, his belly was really bloated and tight, he couldn’t get comfortable and he would yelp every time his sister (June) would try to play with him. So off to the emergency vet clinic we went. We had an ultrasound and x-rays and everything looked normal. So $500 later, home we went with pain meds and recommendation of a bland diet for the next couple of days.

As the day went on Mr. H was getting more and more uncomfortable, and we started noticing he was wobbling around like an old man whenever we could get him off the couch. About an hour later we got him up to go outside, and he wasn’t able to use his back legs at all. He just sat there and looked up at us. So off to the emergency vet clinic we went.

This time the diagnosis was much worse. A potential slipped disc in his back. He spent the night in the emergency clinic on IV pain meds, waiting for the surgeon to get in this morning. Today he gets a CT Scan,  an MRI if necessary, and then back surgery.

This is a very expensive surgery, not to mention the aftercare and time in the puppy hospital he’ll need. Any help we can get to save our beloved Mr. Harrelson would be so appreciated.
