As many of you know, our beloved big boy Thor has grown a mass on his left side abdomen. Over the past few weeks, he has been to the vet a few times (he absolutely loves to see his great friends at Vintage Plaza and knows Mr. Clinton Watkins voice as he peers under the door waiting for his friend). The results of the biopsy show that Thor has a very aggressive form of cancer known in canines as Hemangiosarcoma. This form of cancer can spread aggressively even with surgical removal of the tumor and chemotherapy treatments, both of which can be very expensive. In some cases, clinical trials can be applied for relieving some of the financial burden that some dog owners find themselves in with this type of disease. We don't know a lot right now, and cannot be sure if it has metastasized yet or not, which would have implications on life expectancy and quality of life. Quality of life is the key here, and we will be doing everything we can to make sure that no matter the expectancy, we will do our best to fill his world with the love and joy that he has always known. Our faith teaches us to believe that the power of God is never beaten, and we will continue to pray that our beloved friend knows just how much we love him, no matter the outcome of his life or death. Again, to us, this is not Thor's death sentence, rather our chance to continue to give him our best as we always have. Thank you all for your support ❤️ We will continue sharing Thor's adventures!
