Saving Rafita's Life

OUR STORY:
On October 21st in Santiago, Chile, we were blessed with Rafael (Rafita), our first child. Sadly, on November 7th he was diagnosed with SMA type 1. This is the most serious and aggressive form of SMA, which means a life expectancy of only between 1 and 24 months.
However, today there is treatment. It is the most expensive drug in the world: ZOLGENSMA, which costs USD$ 2.1 million.
Additionally, there is an extra challenge: the earlier this drug is given, the more effective it is. So much so that the laboratory does not sell it for patients 2 years or older, so we need it as soon as possible, ideally before 100 days.
This brought us down. Our hearts were shattered, but we are keeping our heads up and working hard because our son Rafa needs us. He is fighting to live and we are fighting to give him everything he needs to do so. We ask for your help because we cannot do it alone, we need the most expensive medicine in the world and with the help of of many, we are going to achieve this miracle and save Rafita's life. ️
