Saving Private Lola

I sincerely thank you in advance for reading about my dear sweet fur baby Lola. I am relieved and happy she is home and doing well but that wasn’t how I felt a few weeks ago. Lola is a 12-year-old dog and has been a loving member of our family for 12 years. On the evening of November 6th Lola was in pain and we immediately took her to the vet who said she needed emergency surgery including removing all of her teeth due to an ongoing heart disease that put her life at risk. As you can imagine it was heartbreaking to see her in pain and suffering. We elected to proceed with the surgery that evening not knowing how we would be able to pay for all the bills. To this date, we have incurred over $5000 in vet bills. As most of you know, I am working part time while I continue my legal studies. I have no idea how I’m going to pay this large of a bill.

Lola is a trooper and is recovering nicely. She is learning to eat with no teeth and. She hasn’t lost her happy, loving personality
