Saving Motley

March 22nd, 2019 was a normal walk for my fur baby Motley Stewart. The sun was shining, the breeze was soothing, and life was good. During his walk he encountered a Black Labrador Retriever. They did their regular “sniff & dance” and no signs of threat ensued. Before you know it, my wife and pup were fighting for their lives. Motley barely made it out alive, his trachea has been punctured and his canines are detached at the gum, his intestine are only being held in by the thinnest layer of skin. Unfortunately without surgery Motley will suffer and meet an untimely fate, and his surgery has to be done immediately. Now I am going empty my savings to cover what I can, but what we don’t have we hope to in order to finance the rest. For me to not put my pride aside and ask for help when needed would be pig-headed. He’s younger than my 2 year-old daughter and deserves a chance. Any monetary assistance helps, prayer feels just as good.
