Saving Mercedes
Hey everyone, if you’ve been following my posts the last few days you would know our puppy is very sick and ended up at the emergency vet.
We rescued little Mercedes from a terrible place &brought her home to give her a better life. A few days ago she started to heat up and was super sleepy the following morning we brought her to Apple-cross Vet and the gave her fluids etc all day and said to take her home that night so we brought her home to find her even worse the following morning we took her back again and they gave her antibiotics etc and then sent her home once again. On Thursday morning she couldn’t stand on her own and was having trouble breathing so we rushed her back to that vet. The vet ended up telling us she was septic and had under three hours to live. We decided to rush her the the emergency vet to see if they could save her. She’s been there ever since and they’ve been doing everything they can to save her life, after multiple complications the vet decided to perform surgery on her. She has a viral infection and had an obstruction in her intestine. The surgery was successful and she made it out alive but she is not out of the woods yet and he is not sure if she will recover or not but we-are so hopeful but she will be in the vet for awhile longer obviously until further notice.
As many of you know the vet is extremely expensive and the emergency vet is even more. Our vet bill has sky rocketed and is extremely overwhelming. People have reached out and encouraged me to ask for some help, so that’s what I’m doing. Literally anything helps and if you can contribute anything at all we are forever grateful and if you can’t please still keep our little puppy in your thoughts and prayers in hopes she pulls thru.
