Saving Griffin, the Goodest Boy
Anyone who knows me, knows that Griffin has become part of who I am. Last year, he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that has deteriorated much of his muscles. We are finally on the right treatment plan and Griffin is able to live a life filled with belly rubs and snacks.
Griffin was admitted to hospital last night due to excessive vomiting. After numerous tests and an overnight stay, it was discovered that Griffin has a blockage in his intestine that will require surgery to remove.
On top of this, Griffin has developed severe pneumonia overnight and cannot proceed with the surgery until the antibiotics take effect.
We are hoping to move forward with surgery tomorrow with a good prognosis, provided that he becomes more stabilized in the next twentyfour hours.
* Griffin and I have come so far together in his short five years on this planet. His journey has been difficult, but he is a warrior, and I refuse to give up on him. Please contribute whatever you can to help save my little Griffs. I would be so, so grateful to have more time with the boy who has walked next to me through the darkest of times.
All of our love (it’s a LOT!),
Ash and G
