Revitalizing Camp Brethren Heights

We all loved going to summer camp at Camp Brethren Heights, from morning watch in the cedar chapel to singing our favorite songs at campfire at night.  At camp we made lifelong friends, strengthened our faith, and learned to appreciate God’s creation.  Attending Camp Brethren Heights was, simply put, a formative experience!

Currently our beloved camp is under severe financial pressure and needs our help!  The camp has incurred an outstanding debt burden that jeopardizes its future sustainability, including loss of revenue from a decline in camper registration, a decrease in congregational contributions, increases in operating expenses and unplanned repairs.

But more than any repairs or improvements, the camp needs your help to pay off past due debt from previous years. The camp is currently carrying approximately $15,000 in debt from credit cards and other bills which remain unpaid due to the operating losses. To keep our camp operational, we need to raise $50,000 to offset previous years’ shortfalls and to make necessary repairs.  
The Board has prepared a strategic budget and is implementing new marketing strategies so that operations will become self-sustaining once the debt has been cleared. To start the fundraising drive, the 12 members of the board made personal contributions of nearly $6,000.  This is an amazing start; yet we cannot meet our full goal without your financial assistance. I have set up this campaign to raise a portion of the total amount needed; others are working to raise additional funds in a variety of ways.
