For those of you that really know me, I have spent over half of my life dealing with End Stage Renal Failure or Chronic Kidney Disease. The bills for everything medical, from having kidney specialists galore to dealing with psychological therapy, to being in the hospital a million more times than I can count. The staff at St. Joe's Mercy Oakland Hospital know me more than I know them. After being pronounced dead for 5 minutes on August 25, 2013, and then came back miraculously, I look at my life now as a new start, literally. I have to re-learn to walk here at Heartland Inpatient Healthcare Center to dialyzing myself with my brother and mom's help at home. Our office has become a mini dialysis facility. Since I can't work right now and my brother can't because he helps take care of me, my mom works and lives, literally, at her job and we miss her. 
We have not been able to be together as a family since I can remember. We didn't even have a Christmas this past year and I doubt we'll have the money for one this year. But, enough of the sob story stuff. We and I am terribly in debt due to medical purposes. Supplies cost a fortune, insurance premiums are ridiculous. And to make matters worse, the state recently took away my disability checks that I used to pay my small bills like cell phone and car insurance, gas, etc. I don't know what to do and am completely desperate at this point. I feel ashamed that I would ever have to ask for charity but I have nothing left. The stress is not helping my will to get stronger. I just have to say, I miss life, I miss financial comfort because I could work, but it's going to be a long time until I get a kidney, walk again, not be in pain 24/7, and not have to depend on everyone else for every little thing. Your charitable generosity of any amount is more than enough.
