About 2 years ago my niece, Patricia noticed a lump growing on her neck. As time passed by it got sore and she developed a fever, weakness, fatigue and other symptoms. She thought it was due to Lupus, but she decided to check it out anyway. After several blood tests Patricia was informed that she had Hogdkins Lymphoma, stage II, (Hodgkin's lymphoma — formerly known as Hodgkin's disease — is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of your immune system).
She was devastated. She was scared.
Cerca de 2 anos atrás, minha sobrinha, Patricia notou que um nódulo crescia em seu pescoço. Com o passar do tempo, sentia dolorido e desenvolveu febre, fraqueza, fadiga e outros sintomas. Ela pensou que era devido ao Lupus, mas mesmo assim ela decidiu ir ver um medico.
Após vários testes de sangue, Patricia foi diagnosticada com câncer Linfoma de Hodgkins, estágio II (o linfoma de Hodgkins - anteriormente conhecido como doença de Hodgkins - é um câncer do sistema linfático, que faz parte do seu sistema imunológico).
Ela estava devastada, assustada e a familia dela também. E pensava porque isso estava acontecendo logo com ela!
She was a healthy 30 years old married woman with 3 kids. Wendel Filho 15, Arthur 11 and Isabelle 8 years old. All in a family picture with husband Wendel last year. On chemo treatment already.
Patricia, uma mulher nos seus 30's, casada com 3 filhos. Wendel Filho 15, Arthur 11 e Isabelle com 8 anos de idade. Todos juntos para uma foto em familia juntamente com o marido Wendel no ano passado. Já durante o tratamento de quimioterapia.
Among other dreams, she still had a dream to fulfill and it was to become a Mary Kay Cosmetics Executive, which she accomplished, after a lot of hard work, persistence and like she said, a lot of knocking on door to door to get where she is at right now. An example set by the founder of Mary Kay. Unfortunately, with chemotherapy now she is unable to work.
Entre outros sonhos, ela ainda tinha um sonho para realizar que era tornar-se uma executiva de cosméticos de Mary Kay, que ela realizou, depois de muito trabalho árduo, persistência e, como ela disse, muita batida em porta a porta para chegar onde ela está agora. Um exemplo estabelecido pela fundadora da Mary Kay. Infelizmente, com quimioterapia, ela é incapaz de trabalhar.
Since the diagnose, Patricia has gone through 12 chemotherapy sessions. Not one time has she lost her sense of humor, strength, and beautiful warm smile. She went to every chemo session without complaining and always with a smile on her face.
Desde o diagnóstico, Patricia passou por 12 sessões de quimioterapia. Nem uma vez ela perdeu o senso de humor, força e sorriso bonito e caloroso. Ela foi a todas as sessões de quimioterapia sem se queixar e sempre com um sorriso no rosto.
Presently, she is on a no sugar, no carb diet change to try not to feed the cancer cells and she has been fighting the disease for the last 2 years.
Atualmente, ela está em uma mudança de dieta sem açúcar, sem carboidratos para tentar não alimentar as células cancerigenas. Ela tem lutado contra a doença nos últimos 2 anos.
She is a role model to everyone around her! She has stage two cancer, but she has more strength than a lot of healthy people that I know. Patricia is a fighter.
Ela é um modelo para todos à sua volta! Ela tem estagio avancado de câncer, mas ela tem mais força do que muitas pessoas saudáveis que conheço. Patricia é uma lutadora.
Since the regular chemotherapy sessions was resistant to the cancer, the oncologist decided to admit Patricia to Hospital Santa Casa de Misericordia em Goiania, Goias, Brazil on 11/16/17. She was in for inpatient intravenous treatment (after 12 chemotherapy sessions the veins get weak). She was in the hospital for 7 days for chemo and a micro-surgery to insert a catheter on her right upper side.
For now she is home with her family (23/11/17). She will be back to the hospital and will repeat the same routine for the next 6 treatments. Extremely powerful drug. Much stronger then the previous 12 sessions.
Como as sessões regulares de quimioterapia foram resistentes ao câncer, o oncologista decidiu admitir Patricia no Hospital Santa Casa de Misericórdia em Goiânia, Goiás, Brasil, em 16/11/17. Ela foi internada para tratamento intravenoso (após 12 sessões de quimioterapia, as veias ficam fracas). Ela ficou no hospital por 7 dias e gracas a deus ja teve alta e esta em casa com a familia (23/11/17). Ela voltara ao hospital e repetira a mesma rotina pelos próximos 6 tratamentos. Uma droga extremamente forte. Muito mais forte do que as 12 sessoes anteriores.
If this treatment is not successful the doctor will arrange for a bone marrow transplant in Sao Paulo in a couple of months.
Se este tratamento não for bem sucedido, o médico providenciará um transplante de medula óssea em São Paulo em alguns meses.
She is down with an upset stomach, vomiting and feeling hopeless. God bless your heart Patricia.

They will need the funds ASAP. Her husband Wendel and her Mother Beth is either with her at the hospital or taking the kids to school, cooking, cleaning and/or running errands. Wendel and Beth are working together to be the best father and grandma to the beautiful kids and trying to keep everything and everyone together.
Eles vao precisar dos fundos o mais rápido possível. O marido Wendel e a mae dela Bethou as vezes está com ela no hospital ou leva as crianças para a escola, cozinha, limpa e/ou fazem o que for preciso. Wendel and Beth estao trabalhando juntos para serem o melhor pai e vovo para os filhos/netos lindos e tentanto manter tudo e todos juntos.
The funds will help with medication, food for the family, house bills, gas for car, and trip for the to Sao Paulo for the transplant.
Os fundos ajudarão com medicamentos, alimentos para a família, contas de casa, gás para carro e viagem para São Paulo para o transplante.
