My name is Patty McIntosh-Mize and I am raising money in a desperate attempt to save my friend Oro from LGBT persecution in Saudi Arabia.  

Oro is Tunisian by birth and is currently in Egypt, but his Saudi father is always hoping to find him and take him back to Saudi Arabia.   Once there, his father plans to turn him over to the religious authorities and expose him -- he will likely be locked up and flogged or worse. His "crime"?  Looking at pictures of drag queens.

My goal is to raise $35,000 to help him pay for the visa fees, plane fare, and first year's college tuition at a school in China where he will be safe.

He is 18 years of age and his goal is to escape to the safety of any country where he can live freely and be himself.  He is an extremely talented chef and would be able to support himself easily wherever he goes.

I cannot help every LGBT person facing persecution in Saudi Arabia, but I can help this one.  And so can you.

Please.  Help me help my young friend.  I would be so grateful as would he.  You would be, quite literally, saving his LIFE.
