i everyone! Since Fibby's owners have declined the training I have offered to pay for, Go Fund Me is telling me I only have a few days to do something with the funds before the campaign is cancelled. So, I would like to use this money to both sponsor dogs similar to Fibby who need support to find a home and to also donate to Designer Dog Rescue who has helped Fibby since I first fostered her and also recently took on 20 very neglected and emaciated dogs that were found in boarding. I know this was not the original purpose of the campaign, so I want to honor your wishes and Fibby's "legacy" as closely as possible. If you do not wish your funds to go to charity instead, then you can easily issue a refund on the campaign. I will be putting any remaining donations into charity on Sept 19, so please request a refund via the page before then if you wish. Thank you all again for your support for Fibby. I know this is not the outcome that any of us hoped for, and while we are all very frustrated with her owners and the way they've handled things, we must also be grateful that she's out of the shelter system.
Fibby is an adorable and sweet Staffordshire Terrier who urgently needs our help. After an unfortunate and preventable incident occurred, Fibby faces possibly returning to the shelter and potentially being euthanized upon her return. Pit bulls are the hardest to get adopted out, and Fibby being returned means she will almost certainly be red listed and at the top of the kill list.
I am raising funds to secure her proper intensive training to work on her socialization skills and anxiety, as well as "cushion funds" so a rescue organization can step in to care for her should that be deemed necessary.
Fibby is such a sweetheart who stole my heart, and I refuse to see this cuddle bug be euthanized because of human error. Please support Fibs by donating and/or sharing her story. Thank you all!
