Save Yukon!

While we were driving from Fort Rucker, AL back to our family at North Pole, AK, we stopped to let Yukon out at the mile 80 rest area on the Alaska Highway in British Columbia. He unexpectedly slipped out of his collar and ran off exploring in the woods. After searching for hours, we had no indication that he was still in the area and had to continue the long drive home, completely broken-hearted. With little hope of seeing our friend again, I left a note with an explanation and our contact info in the event he was spotted.

Within days we started receiving calls and fb posts from kind folks around the rest area with Yukon sightings! People have provided him food and kindness, but to this point have been unable to catch him. The Yukon Animal Rescue Network (Watson Lake, YT) and the BC SPCA (Fort Saint John, BC) have been working especially hard to capture and eventually transport our friend home, with the help of so many great volunteers. This gofundme will re-pay volunteers for their expenses, and the remainder will go to the two fantastic organizations who have given so much hope to our family this holiday season.
