The Almond Twentieth Century Club Library (Main St) was founded in 1912 by the Twentieth Century Club, formerly the Ladies’ Reading Circle, the Almond Library provides books, movies, and essential services to the Almond, NY community.
Beyond our collection of books, audio-books, and films, we offer a variety of services and programs: including a monthly BINGO Night, Tech-Free Game Night, Gamer-Game Night, a weekly Crafting and Coffee Group, and Children’s Read and Rhyme Story Time are also offered as well as, research assistance, resume help, computer access and training. The Library also offers a safe place to come and play. We have a variety of toys and activities for children of all ages including a PlayStation and Wii which can be used daily and a craft cart with access to all the essential components needed to create anything one can imagine. The library also offers a comprehensive Summer Reading Program.
The Almond 20th Century Club Library is on the Historic Registry, and is a beautiful structure, both inside and out; however, the Library is over a century old, and because of its age, it is facing major structural and cosmetic repairs. The Library has been applying for smaller grants for the problems that arise, but now the major structural issues must be dealt with. These are mostly masonry. We are exploring all options, and the Library will be pursuing a multitude of fund raising opportunities. Help save your Library
