Save The Yum Yum Shop Hurricane Damage

Donation protected
Hi! I’m Karen, owner of The Yum Yum Shop in Garden City, SC. The aftermath of Hurricane Ian has left us at a total loss. The Yum Yum Shop has been a part of Myrtle Beach since opening in 1971 and has been in Garden City since 1988. Wow! 51 years in business! That is fantastic considering it’s just a Mom and Pop little ice cream shop. So many customers have reached out and asked us to try and save the shop and set up a fundraiser. With your help we want to save it and keep it going for another 51 years! We couldn’t afford Hurricane Insurance at $85,000 per year and our flood and wind insurance won’t cover it because it made landfall as a Hurricane. All the equipment and furnishings will have to be replaced as well as painting, inventory replaced. Any amount will help! We have hundreds of loyal customers who visit yearly. Let’s see what we can do!

Thank you!
