Meet Yamiah, a 57’ steel Hull houseboat that has made its home in downtown St Paul on the Mississippi River for more than 40 years at the St Paul Yacht Club (SPYC). For the last decade, it’s been the Liveaboard home for MJ, a retired school teacher.
This year, Yamiah was pulled from the water for routine service and it was discovered that the steel hull is in catastrophic condition and that the boat cannot be returned to the water in its current state. It requires more repair than a retired school teacher can manage. We want the Yamiah and it’s own owner to return to their home on the river.
Your contributions will help restore Yamiah , and return MJ to her home. The team managing this fundraiser are friends and family of MJ. We will help MJ manage this significant repair project in exchange for the love and support that she provides to all of us.
