Urgent Appeal! Help MWSRP get through 2020

Dear friend’s,
As you may have read, we've had no choice but to suspend our operations for 2020. This was absolutely the right thing to do, for the safety of our staff, volunteers and community on Dhigurah but also our operational costs mean that without volunteers coming to help us, we simply can't keep running.
These are really tough times, for everyone and we're mindful that we're asking for help at a time when the humanitarian cause is acute. Thats why we're coming to you. Friends and followers of the programme who have been on board with us literally or figuratively over the last decade and a bit. We are coming to you knowing that you will understand our predicament, and that you also know whats at stake.
As a team, we've decided we're going to weather this storm. We're a passionate group who believe in what we're doing and we're committed to ride out this period and come back stronger than ever in 2021. We're all currently working voluntarily on the project and looking for other work to bridge the gap. It's not ideal, but it's a small sacrifice if we can keep the MWSRP going.
So, what are we asking of you? Well, we understand that many of you won't feel in a secure place financially right now, so please don't put yourselves in any further difficulty. However, what ever you can donate will be hugely appreciated, no matter how small an amount.
We need to keep the programme active and in a position to spring back into action in 2021 without accumulating big debts. Anything we raise through this appeal will go towards covering immediate, outstanding costs whilst also keeping a skeleton operation running over this period to continue to assist the government in managing SAMPA, recruit new volunteers and to pursue grants for the many exciting projects we have planned.
From the bottom of our hearts we want to thank you in advance for your consideration and help at this difficult time. Please stay safe and when things are getting on top of you, just think of Fernando, Shaiban and the rest of the wonderful whale sharks swimming along a quiet reef wondering where all the humans have gone.
