Make the Metro Theatre Sing Again
The Metro Theatre in Sydney’s Kings Cross has been dark for over 30 years while it has been used as a production office.
The current owners have offered no clear pathway forward for the theatre and that is why the Metro-Minerva Theatre Action Group (MTAG) was formed over a year ago.
MTAG say that the 80-year old theatre can be revived for live performances, multi-media events and community engagements.
To this end the Action Group is in discussion the various State Government offices and the City of Sydney. We are now at the point of a massive awareness campaign to bring this to the attention of the wider community.
MTAG are calling on all luvvies, angels and otherwise interested people to help fund banners, posters and flyers to this end.
Please help this old girl of the Cross sing once more and chip in to help us.
