Hi everyone! My name is Frank Jaurequi, I am the owner of the Downtown Blues Coffee shop in Las Cruces, NM, which is according to customer from Birmingham England "a cool & Kookie hang out". , customer from New York "This place reminds me of places in Greenwich Village". Well, the time has come to make some very important decision, due to the horrid COVID-19 pandemic that has creeped up on us in 2020. The decision is, the fate of a place that not only benefits myself and my dream that became reality, but this affects our extraordinary customers that have visited from, as far as Australia to visit. This business was built on pure passion and a deep love for blues music. I literally gave all (money, relationships, work etc) to chase my fantasy. I am, a true blues song, and I am, at the "Crossroads". That said, this is, very uncomfortable to pour out my heart and ask for your help, but I deeply love the Downtown Blues Coffee shop, and this request is necessary to save the shop.
Your generous fund will be used for rent for the rest of the year, which is from May 2020 - December 2020, and to pay off the espresso machine and the cost to install the plumbing and electrical work necessary to operate the espresso machine. Also, to complete isolation and flooring in the recording studio, and lastly, to hire a barista to help the serve our customers and grow to where we can start serving food and employee two more people. Your support means the world to me and our regular customers who frequented the shop daily, before the disaster hit.
As most business like myself, we have backed up rent, utilities, credit cards, phone bills NET30 accounts etc. We could really use your donation to meet the goal within the next 30 days. This will give hope that there is help on the horizon. Thankfully, renters are giving extra time to pay the rent and creditors are extending two months with no late fees but, the payments are still going to be there when the world recovers from this painful situation.
We are very lucky to live in a world that has so many luxuries and easy push button technologies to connect each other and to use a platform such as GoFundMe to share ones needs is incredible and heart warming, yet sad in the sense that so many people in the world need help and cannot reach out to one another.
