Help save Syl's Lounge!
Whether you come for the the drinks, the music, or the community, you come to Syl's for a good time. Unfortunately, we have not been able to gather there for almost three months, which is tough on any business. Help us save this iconic Russell business so we can all gather around the bar or the microphone sometime soon. In July, Syl's will turn 30...but Ms. Syl needs your help to get there.

The funds raised will help cover much needed repairs (replacing a gas line, fixing a leaky part of the roof), mounting utility bills, insurance, liquor/beer license fees, property taxes, and lost income. Syl's has not received support from the Small Business Administration or any other source, so Ms. Syl must humbly ask you, her neighbors and friends and customers, to help Syl's make it through this stretch.
Without your support, another beloved West End institution might be forced to close.
Juanita Mills and her husband Homer built this distinctive little building on the corner of 24th and Broadway in the early 1960s after the building housing her catering business was torn down as part of urban renewal. Mills Grill became Mills Lounge and then, in 1990, Syl's Lounge, when Sylvia and Johnny Arnett bought the club. It's a living, breathing piece of Louisville history. Let's keep the history going.
If we are able to pull this off, you're all invited to a big party at Syl's once we're all able to gather together in close quarters again. Let's make it happen!
