Save St.Best’s Jerk Chicken

My name is Zendeca sinclair I have created this page on behalf of Sharon Watson, the founder of St. Best Jamaican cuisine which is situated in the heart of East London in Walthamstow.

The reason I have decided to create a go fund me for Sharon is on the 4th of October 2020, Sharon’s jerk pan was stolen on Crates premises. Not having her jerk pan will have a negative impact on her business and has affected her plans during black history month.

Sharon is the first Black woman to occupy a Jamaican Shop at Crates St James Street which has brought about a lot of customers all over London to taste her JERK Signature dishes.

Sharon started off with a pop up shop in woodstreet indoor Market, then she started to cook for night shelters for local churches which then escalated in her taking up residence in several pubs in Waltham Forest to serve Jamaican food. Sharon has worked with several community events such as wood street first, twilight Market, nightfeast, Chingfest, borough of culture 2019 to name a few.

In addition, during the pandemic Sharon also cooked weekly for Whipps Cross Hospital to feed the doctors and nurses.

Through hardwork, multiple sacrifices and continuously injecting her benefit money, after 5 years Sharon was finally able to open her first shop in September 2019 at Crates.

Any contribution towards getting Sharon a new jerk pan will be greatly appreciated, no matter how big or small the donation.

The aim is to get enough for her to not have an outdoor jerk pan anymore and instead have a custom made indoor jerk pan fitted for her store so she doesn’t have to worry about it being stolen again.

Any Money remaining will be injected back into the business for Sharon to put down a deposit for her first independent restaurant.St Best Instagram
