Save Star's Leg

Our beautiful Star was recently diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (bone cancer), something I never thought I would be hearing from our vet when we took her in this past Saturday. Here I thought it was a sprain, but not cancer in her front left leg. As you can all imagine, it's one of the most heart wrenching moments one can experience; knowing your beloved is not well. Then the next hour is most gruelling as you receive an over load of info and then try to digest it all to make the best decision possible. 
Well, we cried & cried more, not only from the news but also seeing the quick onset of this extremely aggressively painful disease taking away her vibranancy and aliveness..
Choices.. what to do? 
If she could only tell me how she was feeling and what she would want me to do. 
But as much as I think I know my dog, I'm still left with a hard decision;  to amputate her leg or try radiation treatment with chemotherapy. 
Honestly, none of it sounds reassuring or positive. 
So after much consult with a few vets and research I decided to go for Radiation to give Star the best chance to keep all 4 legs and pray to god she's that miracle dog that beats this crazy disease..
Now the other struggle, where do I get $17000.00 

Yes, it's nuts how much it costs and the fact that there isn't one of these centres close to home.. 

So off we go to San Jose, on a road trip to save Star; my best friend & beloved companion..

She's only 6 & wants to live longer,
