Dear friends of Quinta da Burra,
Paula Castro, the owner and operator of Quinta da Burra in Porto de Muge, Portugal, sent us a heartbreaking request for financial assistance after much doubt. This is what she wrote:
Dear Camino Family!
I have to ask for money again, a topic I never like. But I think without money the only solution it will be is to sell my house. I have tried so many ways to get money. I sell many things that I used to have from my family, but these bad times go on, go on, until I don't have more things to sell.
I tried to work outside, not for work. I've tried farming, cleaning houses, but nobody needs that; they put people away. So with my 62 years old they say I am too old to work for them.
I started to paint; it's the only thing I can sell. It will be on the web soon. Really, I don't know what else I can make to survive. I'm asking again, and I'm sorry to have to ask again, but please, I want you to help me again with this word "money". I hope you understand me and my pain. Sorry. I love you all. Be careful and be safe.
