Save Our Trees and Public Green Space

We're fundraising to save healthy urban trees in a conservation area under threat of development)

The Cathedral want to fell 11 healthy urban trees, including 1 veteran beech tree, approximately 200 years old, in order to build an £8 million annex on publicly owned land.

After gaining national news attention, local campaigners are now seeking to bring legal pressure and legal action to protect this conservation area and to save the trees and public land from unnecessary destruction.

All funds raised here will go towards legal fees to protect this green site. We have a legal firm representing us now, to ensure that the Planning Committee is given the information that they need to refuse this application.

As a result, from 26 May, all funds will go towards this legal representation and will no longer be held for any other charity.
