Save our Michelle - help support for liver transplant

Donation protected

Michelle, my beautiful bride of 28 years, mom to our four children Byron, Ian, Morrigan, and Lucas, as well as many "adopted" kids, has been fighting an auto-immune disease called Primary Biliary Chollengitis, or PBC. This rapid disease is allowing her own body to attack her liver bile ducts and causing major liver problems, leading to liver failure. Michelle is now at the point that she is in stage 4 chirossis, considered complete liver failure, and needs to have a liver transplant immediately. In our most desperate time of need, with Michelle holding on to life by a thread, we have found ourselves being sent by Air Medic directly from our home in Sparks, Nevada to Salt Lake City, Utah, to have Michelle assessed and evaluated for a liver transplant. Michelle and I are now being cared for by the University of Utah Liver Transplant Team, leaving everything in Reno for the next several months on stand by.
This is by no means a free adventure, and the gift of life does have big costs. I have been fortunate to continue to work for a great company that offers top notch insurance packages to their employees, and quite a bit of the medical portion of this is covered, less the deductible, of course. What the insurance doesn't cover is completely out of pocket, and being committed to my wife as her 24/7 caregiver, leaves me unable to work and support the world we have made together.
This is a hereditary disease that Michelle would have never asked for, and she is heartbroken that she may miss out on all that life still has to offer to her. Michelle does not want miss out on her opportunity to be there when grandkids become part of the picture, when one of our boys brings home that "special" girl to meet us, or to not be there when our only daughter gets married. Michelle wants to survive to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in just a couple of years, and beyond. She wants to be able to celebrate her 50th birthday in a couple of years. Michelle wants to be able to do what she has done best for all the years I have been her loving husband, and be the caregiver in our world.
She has dedicated her life to caring for others, by working at several care facilities through the years, taking in family that needed a helping hand and getting them ahead in life, and even took in family and cared for them until their final days.
Michelle and I are in need of help to support our almost three decade life together we have created. We are in the most humble way of asking for help. The expenditures are become big, and far beyond my earning capabilities currently. Without assistance, we will surely lose what we have built up to.
Michelle, as well as myself ask that you please consider gifting to our family to survive and succeed with this liver transplant. From small to big, donations will be put directly forth to cover the ongoing expenses to a healthy recovery. We thank you for the consideration so very much, and have hope that this miracle of life will get Michelle into better health, allowing for her to be here with all of us for many years to come.
With all of our hope and love,
Jason & Michelle Lappin
