Save our Bell Tower

We at the First Presbyterian Church in Mandan are reaching out to our congregation and community for any and all to help preserve a huge piece of History.

The ceiling above our stairway heading up to the balcony has major water damage. The cause of this was due to snow blowing, from our wonderful winters here in North Dakota, through the louvers of the bell tower. It had melted and had not been able to drain away properly, causing signifigant damage to our Bell Tower.

The louvers and the wood in the Bell Tower windows are peeling badly and would be difficult and expensive to repair and refinish. The desicion was therefore made to enclose the Bell Tower openings with maintenance free siding. This will solve the water infiltration and the need to repair the openings.

The Bell Tower needs to be heard again among the community. It brings joy and happiness to everyone and is a piece of not only our churches history but also our communities.
