For 12 years, Oakland HOPE has been more than just a food pantry; it’s been a lifeline for our community. In 2024 alone, we distributed over 2.5 million pounds of groceries, offering not just food, but dignity, stability, and HOPE for those who need us the most.
But now, that lifeline is in jeopardy.
- The number of working families, seniors, veterans, and children who rely on Oakland HOPE has doubled
- Inflation has pushed pantry costs up 33%
If the pantry closes, over 16,000 people each month will lose access to the free groceries they rely on to survive. Oakland HOPE’s Food Pantry, located in Pontiac, MI, is at critical risk of shutting its doors.
