Save Noah's Future

Noah has serious mental health issues; we've been working intensively (both in and out of the hospital) with him for years. He has gotten worse despite all of our efforts. He was recently misdiagnosed and inappropriately treated in 3 different medical settings (feel free to ask us offline about the local care he received). Because of his age, he has no local (and/or insurance covered) option for medical health treatment. If we didn't have the medical insurance we had, he might receive (potentialy subpar) care from the state. But we're both employed by a world-class medical institution that can't meet his inpatient psychiatric mental health needs despite our best efforts to advocate on his behalf. His best clinical option (verified by at least 3 trusted and well respected child psych professionals) is to go out of state for 6 months for intensive therapy. This will allow him to transition back to home and reassimilate into his childhood.

We are not wealthy enough to pay for this care.
We are not poor enough to get aid for care.

We have spent years paying for the care that our autistic daughter needed and could not plan for this additional expense.

It's a huge ask, the amount of money we need is for his medical care alone (and doesn’t include travel expenses to Utah) but we've just paid off the expenses incurred for Anna's intensive autism treatments only month ago, and have already downsized our house...

Our only (other potential) alternative is to relinquish his custody to the county, which as lesbian parents is terrifying)... we’ve also seen first hand how those kids are treated and NO ONE DESERVES THAT. 

All children deserve this level of advocacy.

Jenn and Deb will work tirelessly toward that cause. But they can't do it until they can keep Noah, Anna, and each other safe and on the route to recovery.
