SAVE MY CHANNEL PLEDGE DRIVE by JONNY WANZER

I need your help, otherwise I can’t make videos anymore, or at least not for a really long time. You know, it’s been the privilege of a lifetime to make these uncensored, raw, Vermont edu-tainment videos full time the past 3 years and as 'glamorous' as it's been to be a “somewhat known”, content creator here, it doesn’t pay well anymore in its current structure

For the integrity of my videos, I’ve consciously denied the traditional methods offered of garbage sponsorship integrations, cheesy collaborations, sellout commercials and bougie event opportunities. I’ve even taken on odd ball and traditional jobs this past year, which is a whole challenge itself when you’re known well for… what I do here. Even as I’m getting some incredible engagement, with inflation, cost of living and social media censorship and pay changes paired with dwindling patreon subs, donations and merch sales, I don't have too many options left. I could either get a “real job” full time, which I'm definitely not above at all or be unfulfilled making censored general national stuff selling out my content with skeevy revenue integrations, which I'd rather fucking kill myself. So before I disappear for a long time to get a real gig again, I got one last hail mary in me.

RELAUNCH AS: FROM THE DINING ROOM WITH JONNY WANZER

Last year I found myself expanding upon my normal comedic green screen videos with exposes requiring a serious tone. While I initially planned on that being a one-off, I found myself enjoying the creative and journalistic challenge of it, and was taken back when you all dug it too. While I’’ll never abandon comedy in my content, I really want to explore the value of this serious side… and I figured out how to wrangle the two together… into a familiar but… brand new format.

So normally I research, then stand in front of this screen and say “here's the info bro, trust me” but NOW, i want to bring YOU along WITH ME to finding that info, by starting here with the same knowledge you have, but stepping out from the green screen and into the world where you follow me investigating issues, interviewing people, fact check, learning shit, maybe getting somewhat distracted and touch some grass along the way... with full raw transparency to find the ACTUAL answers to Vermont’s biggest issues, shrouded by misinformation, from news sources, online forums, and that newly conservative friend from high school who posts daily pictures of cop’s driving down the road saying “anyone know whats going on here?” All starting from where I normally create these videos. Here. From my dining room. Which is why I’ll be dropping my years long “Jonny Wanzer’s Promo Videos” moniker, to relaunch as “From The Dining Room with Jonny Wanzer”.

And because I’ve always funded this by “people like you” to keep it uncensored, I wanna take another page out of PBS’ playbook by doing a fundraiser pledge drive to save my channel and cover new costs for some awesome new content.

PLEDGE DRIVE GOALS:

At 5K: I want to relaunch my videos as "From The Dining Room with Jonny Wanzer" with a consistent video schedule, debuting with a 5 Part Series about the misinformation surrounding Burlington Public Safety:

EP3: A Whistleblower Expose on The Burlington Police Dept

EP5: Burlington's Houseless Population Crisis

At 10K, I wanna upgrade some of my equipment and pay for additional production & camera help. I also want to do LIVE interview events for the public with my more high-caliber interviews.

At 15K, I wanna make the sequel to Donny’s Old North Anthem: The Vermont Anthem. I have some BIG PLANS with this that I don't want to spoil but promise will make you flip the F out.

At 20K, I wanna rent a studio space downtown for myself, the Off The Rails Crew, and for the public to rent & use. This will also allow me to build an official set for From The Dining Room with Jonny Wanzer.

At 25K and Beyond, I want to do the next Wanzies Awards LIVE at the Flynn Theatre. Red Carpet style with that silly logo wall. Vermont Celebs. Comedians. Live Music. Surprise Trolling Sh-t. An anti-award show lampooning award shows. An event you've never seen. Hosted by Sam Paulino (Maari) and Myself.

And if this fails, hey, at least we tried right? I got no issue disappearing into the obscurity of a regular work life again. I’m already incredibly thankful to you all for giving me the amazing privilege of accomplishing unbelievable shit and making these years truly the best years of my life.
