My dog, Moose, was hit by a truck.
On June 3rd my dog, Moose, was struck by a truck and has been in emergency care since that night. He has a fractured pelvis and ankle, and has been transferred to a second veterinary hospital for surgery. We have already put every penny we have just to keep him in the care of the initial vet, which would not have been able to perform the surgery until NEXT week. The money raised so far has helped us to get him to a hospital with specialists who can perform surgery and help with rehabilitation. The total cost of surgery right now is estimated between $5,000 and $7,000, but the hospital will start it if we are able to pay a minimum of $5,000. We can not stand the thought of letting him suffer through this pain any longer than he needs to, and we pray we can be on the road to recovery soon.
My boyfriend and I love this dog more than anything in the entire world, he is a gentle giant and the most loyal and loving creature in my life. I don't know what I would do without him.
Every day we tell ourselves how thankful we were to have him come into our lives. It is unbearable to think that we could ever lose him like this. We are truly devastated and hope that we can do everything in our power to save Moose.
