Save Las's Home: Built with Love

Hi. This is my dad, Ulysses. He lost his second wife to cancer some years back. Everyone knows him as Las. He’s a carpenter by trade. Retired. He’s about to lose the home he built with his own hands. The home he expected to live out his life in. Recently, he lost his oldest daughter to cancer. Eight weeks later, he lost his youngest stepson to cancer. Life has been tough. This man would give you the shirt off his back and never ask anything in return. Then he did just that. He gave his only home. One day, his stepson asked for his home in the way of a mortgage to fund a business. That is the stepson that recently died. My stepbrother did his best to make payments, but cancer took him before the loan could be paid. He had no insurance or any means to have this loan paid upon his death. Now, just a few weeks after his death, we are all left to deal with Dad losing the home he built. It will be going up for sheriff sale. We all have mortgages and can’t come up with what the bank is asking. So, we are going to the last place Dad would have wanted and are asking for the public’s help to keep him in his home to live out the rest of his life in the home he built.
