Here at KitTea, we've dedicated ourselves to providing the community and our rescue cats with a sanctuary of peace and tranquility, right here in the heart of San Francisco - the city we love. For the past ten years, we've weathered the storms, standing strong as a beacon of hope for our feline friends and fellow cat lovers.

The pandemic brought with it unprecedented challenges. We faced a difficult landlord, made the heart-wrenching decision to close our doors temporarily to safeguard our community, and took on significant loans from the government and banks, all in the hope that brighter days would soon come again for us and our beloved cats. We've held onto the belief that the catnip would indeed be greener on the other side...

Our summer months are what sustain us throughout the year, allowing us to cover vital expenses such as pandemic-related debts, rent, vet care, and more. But this past summer, we experienced a staggering 60% drop in our usual tourist and summertime revenue. It's a blow that has left us reeling.

As a small business, we rely on the support of our wonderful community and the travelers passing through to keep our mission alive and thriving.

To date, we have rescued 407 cats in the Bay Area and Central Valley.
