Hello,

My name is Jessie from Canada writing to you on behalf of the Al-Maghari family from Gaza. The situation in Gaza is increasingly difficult every day. The young family of three suffer daily from forced starvation, constant displacement, lack of medical care & supplies, sleepless nights, and never ending threats of violence.

It was only shortly before the war when Kenan's parents were married, and Kenan's father had worked tirelessly to build from the ground up their family home together.

Kenan's father, Abdul Rahman, had taken great pride in his business before the war had broken out. He had owned two showrooms for selling furniture and home goods for the people of his city. Now, due to the occupation and outbreak of violence, the family has lost their family home, as well as their business. These buildings are no longer standing, from the bombing that has reduced them into rubble. The family no longer has a source of income to support their young child and all of their basic needs.

The daily suffering only continues to mount, with the acquisition of basic needs becoming more and more impossible. There is a severe lack of food, and virtually no clean water, and no safe place to rest. The relentless struggle to help secure these needs exasperates the family as they try their best to survive. These funds will be used to secure basic needs for the family, and to create a future stronghold to help rebuild their home and livelihood.
