Save Huxley from being killed

Hi my name is Sheralyn,

Huxley is My Daughter, Erin and grandkids beautiful, dopey, gentle Golden Retriever, Huxley’s life hangs in the balance as the council has unfairly deemed him dangerous and issued an order to have him destroyed. We need to raise funds for a lawyer to fight this, to have him assessed and to pay all the council fees.

Huxley has grown up on a farm along with children, geese, ducks and other animals. He is a dog that brings joy and happiness to his family and those who know him. Unfortunately, due to an incident that happened a year ago when he was just seven months old, the council will put him down in two weeks.

The paperwork informing me the council has deemed Huxley dangerous never reached me and now I’m unable to dispute the labeling. Nobody from Townsville City council has even met Huxley before deeming him dangerous and ordering his death sentence. 

I want justice - I want fair process that allows me to dispute the council claims. I want a professional dog trainer to assess Huxley and see what a loving and harmless companion he is.

Our family has been fighting tirelessly to save him. We have provided evidence of his good behavior, testimonials from neighbors and friends, and sought expert opinions to prove that he poses no threat to anyone. We have poured our hearts and souls into advocating for their beloved pet, who is more than just a dog to them - he is a cherished member of their family.

But the council has turned a blind eye to the truth. The council has ignored the evidence, refused to reconsider their decision, and insisted on ending Huxley's life based on nothing more than one incident when he was a puppy. They are valuing bureaucratic rules over the life of an innocent animal, and it's simply unacceptable.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is not just about Huxley. This is about the broader issue of how we, as a society, treat and value the lives of our animal companions. It's about standing up against unfair and discriminatory practices that result in innocent animals like Huxley facing unjust consequences.

Let us call upon the council to reconsider their decision, to look beyond stereotypes, and to make a humane and compassionate choice. Let us show that we value life, that we stand up for justice, and that we will not stand idly by while innocent animals are condemned unjustly.

Huxley deserves to be assessed by professionals and prove that he is not dangerous and does not deserve to have his life ended.
