Have you ever owned a pet that you loved with all your heart and is a part of your family? Please would you help me save Copper's life?
Copper, my orange and white 10 month old, male kitten is the love of my life and he has a deadly virus.
My vet did not offer any hope to cure him, she said it was not possible. With the news I just cried and cried and haven't stopped. Upon doing research on this deadly disease (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) I stumbled on hope for Copper but it is terribly expensive. I'm going to give it all I've got and I would like to ask you for your help. This is an experimental medicine that I can purchase that has been very successful in saving many cats lives and could also cure Copper of this deadly virus.
I adopted Copper from a human society, when he was about 2 and a half months old. Born April 15 and I adopted him July 7th. He has so much love that he gives to me and my husband. He used to play and run and chase my granddaughter, now he just sleeps. When I look at him I just see love and I cry because of this disease. He follows me where ever I am in the house and either sits on my lap or lays down on me when I watch tv. What I also love about him is he will get up from sitting with me and then go and spend time sitting with my husband. I've already spent $400 dollars in two vet visits and can not afford this treatment that I found, which will cost around $4,000.
I am under a time constraint to come up with the money in time to buy his medicine. I buy small amounts of pills at a time, which can last anywhere from 3 to 9 days, depending on how much money I can spend to buy his medicine. I buy small amounts as I have money and I can't miss a day of pills. It takes time to get donations and then 2 days for the pills to ship.
I hope that you will have it in your heart to give Copper a chance at life and give whatever you can. If everyone gives something we can do this! For me Copper is not just a kitten, he is one of our family. A living, loving fur baby, member of our family.
