Save Cheddar and her Kittens

Cheddar was picked up as a very pregnant stray and taken to Animal Protection League in Anderson, Indiana. Within days, she gave birth to 5 kittens. Mama Cheddar and her babies have been in my mom's care since October 4 when the kittens were just three days old.
Unfortunately, APL does not have the resources to provide food, litter, or medication for animals in foster. My parents have been paying for their care out of pocket.
When Cheddar broke with a severe upper respiratory infection when the kittens were only ten days old, APL, unfortunately, could not provide medical care. Instead, we turned to Redemption Rescue for assistance getting appropriate antibiotics.
Once the infection cleared and the kittens remained healthy for a few weeks, we thought we were in the clear. We were shocked when one of the kittens, little Brie, collapsed out of the blue. She struggled to take a few more breaths before dying in my dad's hands. Of course we were crushed, but we knew sometimes kittens failed to thrive.
Just a week later, Baby Swiss--runt of the litter--collapsed after playing and cuddling with her brothers. She died en route to the emergency vet.
Panicked, we took the surviving kittens (Mozzi, Gouda, and Colby Jack) to the vet. After an intensive environmental scan and thorough check ups, all were given clean bills of health. The vet determined the deceased kittens were born with congenital defects.
Cheddar and her kittens will soon be ready for adoption. In the meantime, my parents continue to pay their expenses out of pocket. The emergency vet visits for the three kittens were extremely costly and an unexpected financial burden. This has made it difficult to continue to provide quality care for this little family. Any contributions toward their care as we prepare them for their forever families are greatly appreciated.
