Attacked and will be blind without help

My name is Beatrix Bansal and I am an ER physician here in DFW. I have seen many horrible things and people being hateful but what happened to Benjamin is beyond words. Benjamin was driving home from work in the evening  2 days ago and a woman  pulled up in front of him in an act of road rage due to him driving the speed limit and came to his window and assaulted him. She punched him in the eyes and gouged his eye. This obviously was a terrifying event. 
Benjamin was seen at a local ER and they have determined that in order to save his vision he will need urgent eye surgery. He cannot afford this which is the truth for many people. If he cannot restore his vision he, the only financial provider for the family, will not be able to work. 
Benjamin Martinez is a kind, extremely hard working individual who does masonry work. He works from dawn to dusk everyday including weekends. Benjamin is a father and a loving husband and I can attest to how hard working he is and that this could have happened to any of us. If he cannot work his family may end up homeless.
