Save Bahman

The start of 2018 saw my dear husband, my best friend and my soul mate Bahman Shooshtarizadeh collapse and be diagnosed with terminal Stage 4 Glioma and be given a life expectancy of 6 to 12 months.

Before he collapsed Bahman was a strong independent man who was full of energy and  enjoying  life. Working  as a surgeon, his outstanding compassion to mankind, was plain to see in his commitment and dedication to the patients in his care, which was exceptional.

His pastimes include the Arts music and literature, in particular those from his birthplace Iran, also being a staunch Manchester United supporter watching a match was one of his favourite leisure activities, but nothing could give him more pleasure than family time, especially spending time with our two young children our daughter Emilia aged 10 & our son Wala aged 6.
In January 2018, when he collapsed, Bahman underwent surgery and the results from a biopsy, confirmed our worse fears. Terminal Stage 4 Glioma,  which is inoperable. As the tumour is in close proximity to the brain stem there are no surgical options available. We were  was advised that he would need to start aggressive Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy treatment.

Since starting this treatment, each day has seen a deterioration in his speech, mobility and balance as well the sight in his right eye has been severely compromised. For a man who is in his prime of life to be put in this dreadful situation is unbearable, I would not wish it on anyone.

To witness our beloved Bahman weaken to this degree has been heartbreaking for our family, especially for our children. Their strong father who always had time for them and spent hours playing with them, now is confined to a chair and is totally immobile without assistance. Wala used to love his kick a football around with" his hero", his Daddy.

Their loving Daddy at times cannot hold a conversation with them and tires easily, his energy levels drained. For such young children to have to experience the rapid decline in their Daddy is awful and to think that the children may lose their loving father is unthinkable.

BUT, OUR FAMILY HAVE NOT GIVEN UP HOPE and through research we have found a clinic in Germany who are carrying out pioneering treatment. The Treatment involves next generation genetic testing. Based on the information gained through the tests a vaccine and other immune treatments are produced, which will target the cancer directly.

Results have been encouraging, which have been excellent on patients with similar conditions to Bahman, one of these patients was Gemma Nuttall, whose doctors in the United Kingdom sent her home to die and yet after having undergone the treatment in the clinic in Germany, her life has been saved.

The treatment at the clinic in Germany is expensive, but it will give a chance to BAHMAN TO LIVE.

For Bahman, to be a Daddy and to continue to raise his beautiful children, to be able to listen to his daughter Emilia play her piano or to take Wala to Old Trafford to watch their team play. The children are so young,  time with their father is so precious and any extra time they can spend with their father is a blessing.

Please help to raise this much needed funding, If you are able to help with the raising of funds to pay for this potentially lifesaving treatment for Bahman, it is much appreciated.

Time is crucial though as Bahman is due to start treatment on 10th April 2018 and there will be follow up treatments. Your help is needed URGENTLY.
Every donation, every penny counts. On behalf of my family I sincerely "THANK YOU"

I appreciate you spending time to read our story. Please SHARE this with any friends who you feel could help our fight against this awful disease and help to "SAVE BAHMAN"

THANK YOU,

Agnes Shooshtarizadeh

A teljes kezelés összege kb 400 000 euró .
