Save Baby Javier Santino

Javier Santino Arias Torres is a 5 month old baby that has spent the last 3 months of his life in the ICU of San Felipe Hospital in Lima, Peru. On september 28th, he recieved his first operation by a diagnosis of diaphragmatic eventration, a defect in the muscles in the diaphragm that affects lung functions. The baby was stable after his first surgury but was then found to have aquired the Parainfluenza VirusType IV. Baby Javier was returned back to the ICU and recieved another operation on october 31st. During the recovery period afterwards, the baby lost his ability to breathe on his own, due to the weakness of the muscles in his diaphragm. He was on a respiratior machine, but on November 27th Javier had to have a tracheotomy. This is an incision made in the windpipe to relieve obstrution to breathing, for the respiration machine was damaging his little vocal chords and could potentially impair his ability to talk in the future. To this day, baby Javier is not much better and the doctors suspect that he has a severe neuromuscular disease that is untreatable in Peru. The only option is to bring Javier to the United States where he will recieve the proper treatment that will save his life. He needs to be transported in an emergency airplane due to the fragility of his condition, estimating to cost around 25,000 dollars. The particular intensive treatment that the baby has to undergo in the United States is estimated to cost around 75,000 dollars. His mother has already lost her first baby in 2017, at only 8 months old and cannot bear to bury another. Please help me save my cousin's child, my first nephew whom I have yet to meet and love unconditionally. Thank you and God bless.
