Final Donation Update (6 Mar 18):
THANK YOU RESCUE FAMILY! We are 100% fully funded with no out of pocket expenses for Mario! Paperwork will be finished tomorrow and Mario is scheduled to intake with Warriors Heart in one week!
SHOUT OUT to each and every person who helped. Scuba and Frank have been awesome teammates in this process. Thank you to all of you who donated, prayed, called, texted and so on. Thanks to Red Circle Foundation and TOML Foundation for their massive contributions, please support them in the future if opportunities arise...like fundraisers or CFC.
We recognize Mario is not completely out of the woods and are working to find long term solutions for support. One option is a service dog (we have a lead, but will gladly take other recommendations). He also has a potential job lined up once complete at Warriors Heart, but there are lots of details to work out. We will continue to use this account to provide updates as he progresses.

We almost LOST a Rescue Brother last week. Mario is in dire need of healing. Together, we as a support network, have located Warriors Heart in Bandera, TX in which Mario is excited to attend. Unfortunately we are about $5,000 short of getting him in.
For those that don't know Mario, he's a retired 20 year veteran of the Air Force. He was an awesome Flight Engineer on the Pavehawk and did some Mi-17 time too. He's battling demons and wants to get better soon. He's willing to attend this program and we've verified space available for next week.
Any donations are greatly appreciated, every penny counts toward helping to save his life!
Disclaimer: Mario reluctantly agreed to our seeking support, he was going to sell his vehicle, but we told him the community would be here to help! He also agreed because he wants to encourage others to seek help at the earliest stages of signs/symptoms before going down the rough path he's been on.
Update 1 (adjust goal of $5000):
JUST Received a $2500 donation from Red Circle Foundation, thanks to Franklin Grun's networking!
Tomorrow 5 March, we will get the final price tag from Warriors Heart and I will increase the goal as needed, up to another $3000.

So close to fully funding $9000! Awaiting one board decision and a couple hundred more to be there. Mario is so grateful and in good hands.
