Save A Homestead For A Disabled Widow

This fundraiser is for Faye Covington (her deceased husband Wayne is shown on his tractor) who is a disabled widow struggling to stay in her home-place. On a low fixed income social security disability payment each month, she can barely take care of herself not to mention her homestead of many years.
After losing a 10 year battle with cancer her husband Wayne went to heaven 7 years ago. That battle cost them over $12,000 per month just for drugs to treat the cancer not to mention the many other large medical expenses they incurred. After burying Wayne there was just no money left for upkeep on their home. Faye, who is disabled and on fulltime disability, has postponed major repairs that must now be addressed. This includes such items as replacing the well pump, replacing most of the plumbing under the house, bringing the wiring in the 21 year old house up to code, major appliance repairs & replacement, gutter replacement, and numerous other repairs and replacements that must be made in the next few months if she is to continue living there. The only thing of value Faye retains are many sweet and wonderful memories of her husband of 35 years and the life they lived in their home together. Faye is concerned that those memories would fade away and be gone forever should she have to move.
Asking for help is not something Faye and Wayne have ever had to do but these are desperate times. Your help would be a blessing to Faye and a blessing to you because our faith teaches us that we are blessed so that we can be a blessing to others.
