Save a bed for Sara

As most of you know Sara has been diagnosed with renal failure and she recently moved into a Jewish nursing facility in Encino, California in the summer. Her care in the home has been much better than any of the other homes she has been in and she has been progressing.  It does however come at a very high cost of $7500 a month and it is worth every penny.  Insurance covers $5000 a month and we cover the rest. Nine days ago she was taken to the emergency room because she wasn’t feeling well. She had chronic cough and lab tests were run and they came back negative on the flu but she has pneumonia on top of that she was given prednisone to help her breathe better because her oxygen levels were low and she started having anxiety attacks within the last couple of days, she hasn’t been eating and weighs 85 lbs.  She’s on meds and she is very weak. Her insurance will not cover her spot in the home while she is in the hospital, therefore, it has to be covered out of pocket in order to save her bed. If the fee is not paid she loses her spot in the home. Sara’s children have collectively been paying to keep her bed not knowing when she will be released from the hospital. They are exhausting funds outside of their normal financial capabilities and the family is asking for your help to save a bed for Sara. They are hoping she will get better and be released. Once she is released it would be nice to have her return to her bed. The waitlist for the home is extensive. Saving a bed for Sara would be one less thing to worry about for the family. It is not easy to ask but with all that is happening it has been emotionally draining for her children. Anything will help, the amount asked will cover her for 2 weeks.  Thank you in advance!
